The Legendary 4 Aces ( Native Title: 金裝四大才子) is a Hong Kong TVB Drama release in 2000. This drama is in the comedy and historical category about four scholars with different personality. There is Tang Bo Hu (Nick Cheung) who is consider smart and handsome, Chu Tse San (Bobby Au-Yeung) who care more about money than other stuff, Wen Jing Ming (Gordon Lam) a noble man who put honesty dignity and loyalty at first, and Chow Wen Bin (Marco Ngai) a competent and skillful who came through lots of difficulties and injustice in life.
Rating for this drama is 7/10.
The early of the drama went so well and enjoyable but as the episode progress I start to feel like this is not about the 4 smarts but the 4 fools as well. They are good with the skill but lack of life experience they can't handle problems properly and the main actor Tang Bo Hu wanted to die because of love he just met I feel shame as his parents were alive begging him to live.
About the Characters
There are some fun as Chu Tse San played by Bobby who bring some good laughters he's good at that.
Princess Ping Ting played by Adia Chan she act well her expressions is good and her love with Wen Jing Ming was a good one better than all the others.
Wen Jing Ming is a character honored in Chinese drama since the past I like it for Chinese film to continue to bring this kind of character. And Chow Wen Bin is a good character who doesn't lose hope and struggle with life.
Tang Bo Hu the main actor I like the character for being smart but when came across problems in life he can't handle it and make some ridiculous ideas and he's too proud so for some reason I don't enjoy his part much in the drama.
Esther Kwan was a great actress at the time and she did great in this one. Annie Man was not quite important role is this drama there is also Yvonne Yung she acted good.

Conclusion
The drama was popular in that time but I don't rated high because it seems to be a bit boring in the late of the drama and the 4 scholars seem to not be smart in life. The early was great and enjoyable so I do recommend and hope you don't get bored as I do. Most of the time the result is not satisfy but the process is memorable.
