Always and Ever is a Hong Kong TVB Drama releasing in 2013 starring Bobby Au-Yeung and Esther Kwan together again. The drama is about a love tragic story which spans three lifetimes to solve. The story went back to the Song Dynasty as the actor was Bao Zheng, the 1950s period of Hong Kong when there were much crimes and to the modern day of Hong Kong.
Reviewing the Story
I decide to watch the drama as I see the main cast Bobby who I enjoy many of his dramas before and Esther Kwan who did really well and have kind of brave character in her dramas. They were partners in the early 2000s and long till they reunite again in this drama. I feel like this drama is packed with many leading actors and actresses because this drama include different life times.
This is kind of a fantasy genre the drama start in the modern day until the incident happen to the actress and they start to get back to their past to solve the quest (I don't want to reveal much to not become a spoiler)
Bobby who is now Bao Qingtian meet the actress and made love he knew he's from the modern day but the Esther didn't this one was the start of their love story until Bao Zheng execute the .... and he go to the second period of their love life.
To the 1950s I think this period was well written with some good fun and something to make us wonder in mind. I personally think this part is better than the Song Dynasty part and the drama take most time here where Bobby became Mr.Biao and met Phoenix (the role actress) again and he made her remember what happened they struggle with they love until another accident and he came to the modern day to solve it all.
It took long time till we get back to modern day the drama spent much time in the past than the modern day. Until this time we knew what happen and question in mind what will happen to them in their third life?
Rating for this drama 8/10
I did enjoy many parts of the drama and it kept me watching over the night. Maybe because I like watching Bobby's drama and I adore Esther Kwan as an iconic actress. Even I found some plot doesn't make much sense but the fantasy drama to keep us entertain everything can't be so serious.
Conclusion
This drama is more in the fantasy and love category if you watched previous Bobby drama live Forensic Hero or Witness to the Prosecution which much more of detective genre I can tell Always and Ever is not much in that genre even it does contain some mystery to solve. I do recommend when you're in the mood for love.
PS: I find Rebecca Zhu very beautiful and attractive in this drama. For Christine Kuo yes I always think she is so beautiful and that doesn't change in Always and Ever. The theme song of Always and Ever is 實屬巧合 - 關淑怡 I like this song I usually skip the starting and ending but for this drama I don't skip because I enjoyed the music.
